You can find me at the theater on tour with Re Chicchinella, the new show by Emma Dante, also adapted from a fairy tale from “Lo cunto de li cunti” or “Lo trattenemiento de peccerelle”, a wonderful collection of short stories in the Neapolitan language, which Giambattista Basile created in 1634.
Angelica Bifano is an actress and theatre author born in 1992. She graduated in 2016 from the Civica Accademia d’Arte Drammatica Nico Pepe in Udine, and continued her artistic training through encounters with leading figures in contemporary theatre and dance. Her work weaves together research, writing, and performance, shaping a personal and multifaceted artistic path. Since 2017, she has been working as an independent artist, combining her work as a performer with a strong focus on dramaturgy.
As a playwright, she writes and performs original works, including Mamma son tanto felice and Noi siamo invece, part of a trilogy centered on the theme of family. Alongside her authorial work, she collaborates with prominent directors and theatre companies, including Emma Dante, Davide Iodice, and Rosario Sparno. She is also a co-founder of Collettivo L’Amalgama, with which she develops contemporary theatre projects, pursuing a distinctive and deeply personal artistic research.
Angelica Bifano is co-founder of Collettivo L’Amalgama, a theater company founded in 2016 by ten actors and actresses who trained between 2013 and 2016 at the Civic Academy of Dramatic Arts “Nico Pepe” in Udine, under the guidance of nationally and internationally renowned directors and educators.
Collettivo L’Amalgama was born as a space for theatrical research and production. Since its founding, it has developed a variety of performances—original creations, adaptations, and contemporary dramaturgies—receiving awards and recognition over time. In 2021, the company became a cultural association.
